A wedding worth remembering, pt. 2

Before I drag it out too long, I'll just present the main cornerstones of the day.
8:00 a.m. - everyone is hurly-burly and busy, busy, busy - especially in the main Steel mansion, since the master bathroom (spell: only one for everyone on the middle floor) was to be blocked for ongoing traffic starting at 8 a.m. due to hair dressing appointments
Ich mach's kurz und langweile euch nicht mit hohlem Gefasel. Stattdessen, die wichtigsten TOPs in der Form "kurz und knackig".
10:15 a.m. - the bride is almost ready for presentation. Almost.
10:15 - die Braut is fast fertig. Fast.

10:30 - the wedding carriage is in front of the door. It's a surprise and differed VASTLY from the expected one. Pay close attention to the license plate!
10:30 - die Hochzeitskutsche ist vorgefahren und, welch Überraschung, sie sieht sehr anders als erwartet aus. Man beachte auch das eigens angefertigte Nummernschild!

10:35 - the bride, the bride, the bride - having waited for what most certainly was an eternity (or at least half of it, cuz that's the day when the neverending sharing started) the groom almost tore at his hair and only let go when he heard that his bride had ALREADY taken care of that (see above for pictorial proof). So even that passed and they were finally on their way to the registrar's office for the civil marriage ceremony.
10:35 - dem Bräutigam tritt langsam aber sicher beim Blick auf die Uhr der Schweiß in die Stirn. Oder liegt's an den hochsommerlichen Temperaturen? Er hat sich deshalb nicht die Haare gerauft, weil ich ihm überzeugend vermitteln konnte, dass das seine Braut schon erledigt hätte (siehe oben für Beweis!). Aber alles klappte noch und so ging es ab zum 11-Uhr-Termin in Richtung Standesamt. 
11:00 - civil marriage ceremony
11:30 - officially husband and wife!
11:30 - unter der Haube!

11:45 - they're starting into their marriage with full force. Roles are already set and appear somewhat contradictory to the oh-so-famed traditional gender roles. Times are a-changin'! ;-)
11:45 - sie starten mit Vollgas in das neue Leben. Die Rollen stehen fest und scheinen im Widerspruch zu tradierten Rollenbildern zu stehen. Tja, die Zeiten ändern sich! ;-)

12:00 - everyone but the couple are back home, trying to relax and withstand the heat until mid-afternoon and the church ceremony. Meanwhile, the couple enjoys the blazing sun and the scorching temperatures (around 35 °C) during their photoshoot in the park. Some just can't get enough...
12:00 - alle (abgesehen vom Brautpaar) sind wieder daheim und versuchen, in der Zeit bis zur kirchlichen Hochzeit nicht vor Hitze zu vergehen. Die zwei Glücklichen können jedoch nicht genug bekommen und genießen ein Fotoshooting in der Mittagshitze unter der sengenden Sonne... Hach, muss das schön gewesen sein. ;-)
2:30 p.m. - off to church
14:30 - auf zur Kirche!
3:00 p.m. - church wedding ceremony, afterwards champagne reception in front of the church as well as a number of short surprises (such as letting white doves fly)...
15:00 - kirchliche Trauung, danach Sektempfang und ein paar kleine Einlagen vor der Kirche...

from 4:00 p.m. and on - celebration at the actual banquet room till late at night, again, a number of surprise acts were presented - both with and without involvement of the couple. ;-)
ab 16.00 - feiern, bis der Arzt... nee, aber jedenfalls schön feiern, ab und zu gab's auch eine Einlage oder kleine Überraschung, sowohl unter Mitwirkung als auch ohne Beteiligung des Paares.

und selbst den Kleinsten hat's gefallen...

And with that, a great time was had by all and it only speaks for the celebration itself to note that the last guests reached home at the break of dawn. ;-)
Wie oben ersichtlich, war es eine tolle Feier, die noch weit in die Nacht und sogar bis zum Morgengrauen reichte. ;-)
