Moments to remember...

One of the things I enjoy to do when I'm out and on the go is quite a common thing (yeah, you got me - even me!) ;-). I like to listen to music or podcasts while walking or riding the tram/bus/train/you-name-it somewhere. So for about a year now, I have been a fan of podcasts in all shapes and sizes.
First, there's this great neuropsychology podcast called BrainCast (sorry, German only), but there are also various others. When I am more inclined towards easy listening, I tune into Crimepod (soooo sorry, again only in German) or I pick some short stuff to make you smarter (or a pest?, anyways, it's called "Das Klügerstück" - you guessed it, German again) or a language podcast (such as the Travel Language Guides). At times, I might even listen to some good, ole' fairytales. I love them, especially when they're read aloud by talented storytellers (add to that the occasional audiobook and I'm right there in literature-on-the-go-heaven). There are also very nice podcasts on the stories only life can write, the best one (for me) is This American Life. And oh yeah, there's also the occasional jogging music podcast or others that I didn't even try out yet.
But know what is really, really my most favourite podcast series? It's Radiolab from the radio station WNYC (national public radio in the US). This show is really what infotainment should be all about - bringing you the knowledge in a fun and entertaining way. And they don't just skim the surface, no, it's a free fall into the abyss of science, if you will. And I love it!
So here's one of their (rather rare) video podcasts (usually, they do audio podcasts, as might be appropriate for a show that is based on radio.
Now, take your time, turn on the loudspeakers, make sure to open the video in HD and full screen mode and just enjoy. It's something untypical for them, but beautiful all the same.

And with this, I bid farewell and drag my aching bones to bed. Swimming was a long-distance affair today, in which I covered at least 4.2 km over a 2-hour course. So I'm VERY done now. ;-)

P.S.: Please excuse the crappy look of this post, but the video just wouldn't fit... ah well, it's worth ruining today's blog look. ;-)
