That's the way the cookie crumbles... not.

So a friend came over for a visit yesterday and we all thought: well, let's celebrate the moment aptly. And we went off and...
... made cookies. That's right. Though I have to say, we didn't quite make the ones we intended to bake. All due to logistic reasons, the curious incident with getting the butter to room temperature ("wah! It was in the microwave for a full minute?!?"), the inability of some people in this household to whisk sugar and eggs without straining their shoulder and, generally speaking, a combination of all of these things (add to that a little bit of tasty Pinotage and you know, what I'm talking 'bout)... well, ALL of this resulted in this masterpiece confectionary adventure:

 

Despite the blurriness of the picture, the whole sheet of the my share of the cookie was actually quite tasty. And reminded me of something... just what? I was racking my brain for forever a matter of hours seconds, before the mental image hit me.

Yeah, I know... wild imagination. But well, I'd better go with than without that one. Definitely makes for a more entertaining life. ;-) And it keeps your flatmates entertained as well, if I may say so...

Other than that? Ah, just the usual late-sunny-fall gorgeousness in Jena (well, for the last 3 days, don't ask about the other ones).
